Reliability centred maintenance - Reliability Centred Maintenance is an engineering framework that enables the definition of a complete maintenance regime. It regards maintenance as the means maintain the functions a user may require of machinery in a defined operating context.

Facilities engineering - Facilities Engineering is the field focused on the design, construction, and life-cycle maintenance of military or civilian installations, facilities, civil works projects, airfields, roadways, and ocean facilities. It involves all facets of life-cycle management from planning through disposal - including design, construction, environmental protection, site operations and support, housing, real estate, and real property maintenance.

Mechanical engineering - Mechanical engineering is a very broad field of engineering that involves the application of physical principles for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
